Chester Ultra 2021 Training Run
Welcome to the Start Line of the Chester Ultra® 2021.
Each year GB Ultras Running Club invite runners to join them for a free of charge training run covering some of the Chester Ultra® 50 Mile route.
TRAINING RUN 2021
Saturday 5th June 2021 8am – 8.30am – 9am – Chester Ultra® Recce:
Cover Frodsham through Delamere Forest to Primrose Hill Wood on the Sandstone Trail and then back again, approximately 20 miles in total.
Start and Finish point for the Recce: Meeting point Costa Coffee (14 Church St, Frodsham WA6 6QL).
To ensure we are COVID secure, no car sharing is required with maximum group sizes of 30 per group. Please arrive 15 minutes before your group is due to set off and respect the social distance from others.
Depending upon the number of people wishing to take part in the training run we plan to have 2 or 3 groups. If there are 30 attendees then only one group will run at 8am. LIMITED PLACES ARE AVAILABLE.
Any further attendees will set off in Group 2 at 8.30am followed by Group 3 at 9am (9am group only available if group 2 is full).

Pace/Water/Provisions/Kit Pace wise, we’ll be trying to ensure everyone is staying together as much as possible and will be stopping at set sections so all benefit from the recce of the section.
Please be aware that the recce is a chance to learn the route and the purpose is to try to keep together as a group however with groups of no more than 30 to ensure we are COVID compliant.
To help manage this, we have a number of run leaders but please bear in mind the purpose is not to run off at 7 min miles, and the purpose is not who wins the recce. Please feel free to join the GB Ultras Community .
